Well its a brand new year and I hope this one is a good one. Not that my years have not been good but I would like this one to be the best. I have to get back into shape and I would like to do that before the Summer. Now I just have to get motivated. Why can't it just be easy like you say you are going to work out and you just do it instead of sitting in front of the computer or Tv and not doing a thing. So that is my goal right now. I want to be able to race up and down the street with Ayden and not die in the process.... So now just have to figure on what I have to do to get ther....hmmmmmm
Our New Years was nice and quiet well except for the horns that Ayden was blowing. He was so excited that it was New Years even though he didn't know what it meant. It was still really cute.
When I was younger and without kids I did a program called Big Brother/Big Sister. Candice was 11 when I met her and here she is 23. Wow where did the time go. She is still living in Milwaukee and is still going to college. She is coming up this weekend and going to introduce me to the guy she is going to one day marry. I am so proud of her and she is doing so good in life. I love and cherish all the time that we spent together. I am also glad that I am still involved in her life. I will post some pictures after this weekend.... I so can't wait.
So far that is all that is going on in our lives right now....

What to write!
Christmas is upon us and I am so greatful that its almost over. We are spending out Christmas morning with the kids and I am so excited to see their faces as they open up presents from us and Santa Clause. I tend to some what over do it but I think that I am compensating for my own childhood. We never got much because my parents were poor. I really think that is why I want to give my kids so much. I know that there are other kids out there that would benfit from it too. I just want my kids to be happy and glad for the things that they do get. I have not heard from them the things that they wanted and didn't get. I think that they are generally happy for just the smallest things. In fact I bought myself an ice scrapper, living in Minnesota that is one thing you do need. So it was in the car when I picked up Ayden. He wanted to see what it was and I explained to him on how to use it.... He was so happy that I bought it that he shouted, "Mom I love my new gift"..... Silly boy!
I hope that everyone is having a wonderful and safe Merry Christmas!

Thanksgiving and everything else in between!

This is my favorite time of year. Good food and family fun. Thanksgivig we spent at my in-laws. It was nice to see everyone. The kids love going to grandma/grandpa's. We ate and then watched some football. The kids were actually pretty good. SHOCK!
Then Friday we had some running around to do and then I went out with my brother and sisters. Carrie and I were drinking and Addie was a sober driver. Its nice when you know that you can drink and be safe. We had a semi-reunion at Sarna's in Columbia Heights. Pretty nice place.
Now its December and Ayden is waiting for the snow to start falling. We can't wait to get out there!
Christmas is on its way. I can't wait for that day.....

I know I know

Its been forever since I have added anything. Time is just getting away from me. Everyday and Every night is a new thing. Ayden is happy and growing so fast. Hanna is doing great in school. But they are both excited for Christmas. We have fun crafts that we are going to do. Then its the Christmas tree that will be put up the weekend of Thanksgiving. Ayden hopes for snow everyday. He is so bummed that we have none. I am not as excited about the snow as he is. I do love this time of year. Amounst family and friends and Christmas movies on Family Channel and Hallmark Channel. We do plan on getting together with friends and family for some sledding parties (that is if it snows).
I am getting my list out and checking it twice. Going to make sure that Hanna and Ayden and always so nice. My kids are finally at the age where they are both very excited about Santa. Ayden thinks that he is so cool...lol
Here are some pictures from Halloween (Thanks Jason for Ayden's awesome costume from

Minnehaha Falls

We have gone down to the Falls twice this year. Both days were just great. The kids love going down there. Ayden wants to ride the bikes (maybe next time). This summer we have really been doing things as a family. With a lot of outdoor activities. I think that the kids have really enjoyed out family time too.
Camping with Carol and Nathan!

So what have we been doing this summer well 8/22 I brougt Ayden camping for the first time. He absolutely loved it. We went with Carol an Nate and had a blast with them. I loved that fact that Carol and I got in some good friend time. Ayden loved that fact that he got to run everywhere. They got to play games and Ayden got to spend time with his cousins even though now he has added some that aren't really his cousins but I think that he thought everyone was his family. It was just great. I am just so glad that I got to spend that time with Ayden.
